Construction and manipulation techniques are key to Stevie's fused glass practice and all work is designed by layering glass with wire details which Stevie creates by using various manipulation techniques.
Once process, wrapping various sections of glass with wire, creates lines and texture within the glass. Pushing the process of wrapping wire, by hand, sometimes hundreds of time, not only creates decorative designs but also constructs the restrictive grid that reacts with coloured glass and can create forms and shapes in 3d glass sculptures created through numerous firings.
Creating a range of one off sculptural forms and wall art made using sheet glass, wire grids, various metal inclusions and coloured details.
